My husband and I, during a road trip through Yucatan, booked here day-of. I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere of the property and restaurant is really beautiful, the cottage is adorable, the cenote was mind-blowing, but most of all, the service was astounding. Everyone was so very kind, accommodating and so attentive, in spite of my inability to speak the language in anything other than a few words strung haphazardly into broken sentences. The breakfast was world-class (no, seriously, it was), and I can't recommend it highly enough. My only complaint is that the shower - after a long day on the Puuc route being sprinkled with rain and covered in sweat - was nothing more than a splattery dribble, which was a bummer. Also, there were neighborhood dogs barking into the night and a rooster that crowed us awake in the morning (although the rooster did add some to the authenticity!). Those aren't the fault of the hotel, but merely notes about the location for other travelers. All in all, though, my husband and I would highly recommend staying here and taking advantage of everything this property has to offer.

Outstanding small hotel with incredible rooms, restaurant, surroundings and cenote!!! Although a little pricey for Mexico, once you're there, you'll understand what a value and such a unique experience you'll receive. One piece of advice, bring water to your room for drinking and coffee. There are only 2 bottles in the room and they charge for them.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and swimming in the cenote was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The water was super clear, and even though it was smaller, it was incredibly unique and beautiful. The emerald river was basically a long pool with a deceptively fast water slide. Because the river was six feet deep, you were required to wear a life vest. As an overnight guest, we had access to the nocturnal hours, which meant we had both the cenote and river to ourselves at night, which was incredible. However, you have to be supervised, so we had to get a lifeguard from the cenote location to walk with us to the river before we could swim. While this makes sense, it was never explained at check-in, so we were pretty confused for parts of our stay. More explanation of the way the stay worked at check-in would have been much appreciated. We also had the pleasure of meeting Mariam during the day, a guide/lifeguard, who was very sweet and informative. We recognize that our party was not native Spanish speakers, but it felt like the majority of our issues were not translation issues but rather missing information. Our questions were answered once we asked, we just had to do a lot of extra asking. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, particularly the absolutely beautiful cenote, but more signage/explanations would have been VERY appreciated.
